Microsoft DigiGirlz Website
The redesigned DigiGirlz website was developed as a launching pad for increased PR activity that drove awareness of the programs that Microsoft has developed to engage High School girls across the US to learn more about technology. The new design was developed to strengthen the brand image of DigiGirlz and create a visual interface that was more friendly, fun and engaging than the original basic Microsoft.com page layouts. Integral to the update was the inclusion of many more photos of participants from the past 5+ years of DigiGirlz programs. Those photos highlighted the diversity of the participants and the collaborative environment the High Tech Camps and "Digigirlz Day" are built upon.
There were some initial challenges working on the Microsoft.com platform as this was a project where I took on both the design and web development/page coding roles. Through collaboration and communication with the Microsoft web vendor, I was successful in working within the somewhat restrictive MNP templates that comprise the Microsoft.com web publishing platform.
