Microsoft Vista Back To School Interactive
This interactive flash application was developed as an infographic companion piece to a Microsoft Vista consumer products story posted on PressPass. The interactive experience was created within an XML-enabled flash application that utilized an easily updateable external XML architecture to allow for last-minute changes necessary under the tight news delivery deadlines. I worked with an illustrator to develop the original art direction of the various characters and their corresponding thematic backgrounds.

To help unify the designs into a cohesive UI, I made adjustments to the illustrations before compositing them into the Flash application. Those changes had the added benefit of allowing a stronger adherence in the look and feel of the project to the Microsoft visual guides for the Vista brand. The experience of developing a complex set of rules for user interaction was an exciting process and the collaboration between myself and the flash developer who wrote the core application.
